This is a technical epoch, where an ocean of information is available on one finger-tip. People are more attentive, and many believes in readying the plan b. Everyone have a fair idea that doing a job is not easy as it may look, and at times, it is very challenging, dreary, demanding and draining in both ways – physically and mentally. Thus, it left with one better alternate – entrepreneurship. I will elaborate the high points and the downsides of being a self-employed in the forthcoming deliberations.
Unlike their previous generations, today’s generation are more informative, competitive and somewhat fearless. As they take more chances, and eventually reaps more rewards. Back then, the vast number of people were doing jobs, and usually they didn’t go beyond their orbit. Whereas, today, time is changing and people have pushed their horizon more than ever. Another core reason behind this shift in the behaviour is job-pressure, and people don’t like controlling bosses.
While doing a job, an employee has to bear with many unpleasant things, but the other side of the aisle has more privilege. One, no one is above you, and your fate is more or less in your hand. Two, an employer can take all the decisions which he wishes, and can also implements novel ideas. There are some downsides also, if something goes wrong, the owner has to bear the losses. But that also happens in job, and often people lose their jobs due to some failures.
I do not see any major concern, if one opts for self employment. Whether you are an employee or an employer, both will challenge you. But in the business, one has more probability to grow, and if it happens, then sky is the limit.
