Undoubtedly, celebrities are famous amongst the masses. As a result, public figures like singers and actors get a decent remuneration for their work than the politicians. This is because they have a greater fan- following while this could be negative for society as people overlook the contribution done by other professionals like politicians.

 Stars have always been people’s favorite since time immemorial because their fan perceive them as larger than life figures, which makes them crowd puller. Therefore, companies want eminent television personalities to endorse their products to boast sales. In India, for instance, many Bollywood actors and actress charge millions of dollars to advertise companies’ merchandise. Moreover, the media industry usually is an excellent paymaster as the industry service the entertainment to the masses in exchange of handsome subscriptions or tickets.  What is more, a lot of glitz and glamour is associated with stardom that they become popular amongst the young population and it becomes easier for the brands to promote their products by signing the most popular celebrity as their brand ambassador.

On the downside, it does not reciprocate well in society as the efforts make by people from other fields like politics get undermine. Politician plays a pivotal role in a country’s development even though they are not as famous as television stars. Politicians do involve in social programs like law making, formalizing education system, and infrastructure development.  These initiatives significantly transform people’s life. So, their contributions outweighs than that of celebrities.

To conclude, after discussing the topic in detail, it is not hard to say that politicians must be well-paid like actors and singers so that more and more people can opt politics as full-time profession.
