Some people believe that by encouraging the movement of such people, rich countries are stealing from poor countries. A large number of skilled people are shifting to wealthy nations due to increase in work opportunities in fields such as engineering and medicine. Although some individuals argue that through this migration rich countries are stealing talent from poor countries, others believe that this movement is natural. I believe that this displacement is natural and people move to rich countries because of good living conditions and more career opportunities available there.
First of all, rich countries provide a high standard of living which attracts a lot of people. Every individual would like to settle in a country where he can get more health benefits and higher salaries to support his family. For example, a lot of people are settling in countries like Australia and The United States of America because they provide various benefits and high paying jobs to the citizens. Therefore, many individuals find rich countries with great living standards suitable for them and their families.
Secondly, individuals get a lot of career advancement opportunities in the rich and developed nations. While working in wealthy nations, they get a lot of promotions, hikes and learning opportunities which they cannot find/enjoy in their motherland. For instance, a report recently commissioned in the United Kingdom states that people in rich countries have considerably higher chances of getting promoted than people in poor nations. Thus, people like to move to rich countries due to better career growth opportunities.
In conclusion, many people in skilled jobs are moving to rich countries to fill vacant job positions. I believe it is natural and right to move to rich nations because people can live a great life with a lot of benefits and career opportunities in the rich countries.
