Nowadays, studying abroad has become a trend. Over the years, there has been a tremendous increase in the number of people going abroad for higher studies. Studying abroad is an effective way to get a college degree and travel the world at the same time. This essay will explore the reasons that encourage people to study abroad.

A foreign degree has tremendous value. Students who have a degree from a well-known international university can easily find a coveted job. This is the main reason that encourages many students to pursue higher studies in a foreign country. In addition, people get to learn many things when they move to a new country. First, they will get an opportunity to get introduced to a new culture and heritage. This exposure will enhance their world view and make them more tolerant of differences.

Another advantage of studying abroad is the opportunity to learn or a perfect a second or third language. For example, Indian students who study in the US or Australia get an opportunity to perfect their English language skills. Although English is widely taught in India, many students acquire proficiency in the language only after moving to a foreign country. Moving abroad for higher studies also enables students to live independently. When they live alone in a foreign country away from their parents they learn a lot of life skills that will stand them in good stead. Considering these benefits I will definitely accept an opportunity to study abroad.

In the end I would like to conclude by saying that living and studying in a new country expands our horizon and enhances our career prospects. Hence, in my opinion, if we receive an opportunity to study abroad, we must seize it without any hesitation.

No doubt, there are several merits to pursuing higher studies in a foreign country, Needless to say, thousands of students from developing countries now enrol in universities in the USA, Canada and the UK. This essay will discuss why students want to study abroad and why I will opt for the same if I get a chance.

To commence with, students want to study abroad as it improves their chances of getting a job at a multinational company. As everyone knows these companies give excellent pay package and a chance to work with many other well-known companies. Another reason is that when we study abroad, we can explore many other cultures or traditions and this will help us to improve our language and personality. We will also be able to learn one or more foreign languages. For example, I have one friend from Turkey, another one from Canada and I am from Punjab. Studying in an environment like this has made me aware of various cultures and taught me a lot of new things.

As for me, studying abroad has always been a dream. And when I got an opportunity, I chose to pursue graduation from Canada. My motive to study abroad was to become independent and get practical experience. If we live with our parents, we become dependent on them. also wanted to do practical work related to my study so that I could get experience which would help me get a job in one of my dream companies. Studying abroad has certainly benefitted me in so many ways. When I was in India, my parents took care of my expenses and paid by tuition fee but now I do it on my own.

To conclude, even though we have to spend enormous / immense amounts of money to study in a foreign country it is worth it as it makes us independent and improves our career prospects.
