It is true that global tourism has become a prevalent phenomenon. Some people argue that this industry impinges on their nations. I believe that the negative attitude towards it is because of vandalism and environmental issues. However, in order to deal with this attitude, governments should introduce regulations and policies to manage international tourism.
The main reason why local people do not support international tourism is that numerous foreign tourists do not show their respect to local cultures. It is evident that various local heritage sites need to be renovated due to the damage caused by travellers. For example, a variety of indigenous caves in Taiwan were vandalised by people from overseas. In addition, the local environment can be severely polluted when the number of tourists increases, contributing to air or soil pollution. This is because they throw rubbish into surroundings irresponsibly.
However, my strongly held belief is that these problems can be solved by imposing restrictions on international tourism. Firstly, fining people who commit vandalism is necessary as it can deter them from breaking the law. If tourists need to pay a large amount of fine for their behaviour, it is highly likely that they will avoid committing crimes. Additionally, the policy of limiting the number of tourists should be introduced to mitigate pollution. If a nation only accepts 1000 foreigners to apply for the tourist VISA monthly, environmental pollution certainly can be alleviated. Once these problems are dealt with, local people will change their attitudes to global tourism.
In conclusion, although many residents are against international tourism due to vandalism and pollution resulting from tourist activity, governments can change this attitude by enacting laws that limit the damage caused by tourists.

Tourism has always been a significant source of income for many countries around the world. However, despite this fact, many people discourage international tourism and consider it a bad thing for their own countries. This essay is an attempt to discuss the possible reasons for this approach and solutions to change this negative attitude.
To begin with, it is argued that tourism enhances the exchange of thoughts and culture beyond the physical borders of the countries. However, few people believe that international tourism also has a few negative sides. Firstly, there is always a threat of transmission of deadly diseases like Swine flu, Bird flu, Ebola etc from the infected tourists. For example, In 2012 Gujrat Vibrant summit, a lot of attendants got infected from Swine flu which was transmitted through the infected International guests. Thus, many countries around the world prefer to exercise health checkup before granting tourist visas.
Secondly, It is often argued that western tourists might influence and affect the local customs and traditions of their own country. Many countries are often fascinated and influenced by the western approach and if they see more foreign tourists in their country they might follow their living style and forgets their own local traditions.
Nevertheless, many studies reveal that tourism is one of the ways of promoting their own local cultures and traditions all over the world. For instance, a lot of European tourist after visiting India decided to join the Iskon foundation to spread the principals and knowledge of Holy book the Bhagwat Geeta. Many Government agencies have initiated many programs to raise awareness of the benefits of Tourism.
To recapitulate, after analyzing the above arguments it is not hard to come on the consensus that International tourism has no harm on the local tradition and culture. In fact, it is one of the ways of promoting and sustaining the local tradition, rituals and religious to outside people.
This seems band 7 to me.
