Some people opine that celebrities or well-known personalities remain under heavy camera radars and are often treated badly by media whereas others disagree with this view. Both views will be discussed in this essay.

Those who support greater privacy argue that being famous is no reason for someone to be constantly in the limelight. Intrusion into private lives is the main issue. All people have aspects of their life that they do not want to share with the public. For an ordinary person, this is not very difficult, but for a famous person, constant media attention exposes their personal life and if there are unsavory detail, it will affect their reputation and cause them stress.

On the contrary, some people believe that media is only doing its job fairly and that it is these personalities who label action of channels unfair when they find reviews are not showing them in positive light. Celebrities who guard their privacy aren’t really chased by media. There are, nonetheless, some people who are desperate for attention. They only want media to write about the positive aspects of their life and cry foul when they get negative publicity.

In my opinion, every person has the right to privacy and just because someone is a public figure does not imply that their right can be tampered with. Though it is normal for media to have some interest in the private lives of celebrities, it should never go beyond ethical boundaries. In my opinion, being in limelight does not warrant unnecessary intrusions into personal lives. And one must remember that ultimately these individuals are also humans and as sensitive and vulnerable as any of us.

To summarize, famous personalities are subjected to unfair treatments and hence privacy laws must be strengthened to protect them. Every person has a right to safeguard themselves from too much personal interference. Fame and right to question does not justify excessive interference.
