Many believe that it is better to adapt to change rather than avoiding it, as it is beneficial for the human beings. My point of view coincides with the above statement, as the merits of change are greater than its demerits, and it will be explained in detail below.

Firstly, people get bored of their daily routine after a while They prefer to take a day off from their job to rejuvenate themselves, by going out sightseeing or having dinner at a restaurant. Even if it is a small thing, people love these diversions in their lives. Secondly, there are also changes in a person’s lifestyle and in the way of thinking. Due to the ever changing surroundings a person’s way of thinking completely alters as they grow from childhood to adulthood. For instance, when I was young I was narrow minded; however, when I travelled a few countries and met new people I was able to think from a wider perspective. It is evident from the above examples that accepting change has various pros to offer.

Nevertheless, while considering our older generation, it is difficult for them to adapt to change. There have been various developments throughout the world in terms of technology, but it is not easy for the seniors to adapt to these technologies. For instance, their preferred mode of communication at first were letters, then it changed to land phone, mobile phone and now smart phones. Old people are thus finding it tough to keep in track of all these changes and developments.

To conclude, it is clear from the above paragraphs that although change has some disadvantages while considering older people, it’s advantages are far more when compared.
