Although it is believed by some people that only individuals who are born with talents can do well in sports and music, others think that any child can acquire such skills by training. In my opinion, through practice and determination, any child can become a successful artist or sportsperson.

Inborn talents certainly matter. People who are born with a natural aptitude for singing, drawing or sports can acquire proficiency in those fields with relatively less effort. If we consider the examples of great musicians, painters or sportsperson, it is not hard to see that the vast majority of them showed considerable talent in their respective fields in their childhood itself. Obviously, they were born with those skills. However, just because someone is born with a certain talent, it does not mean that they will achieve success in that field. In order to achieve success they have to hone their skills like everyone else. It is just that achieving success is relatively easier for them.

On the other hand, practice makes man perfect. Even if somebody is not born with exceptional artistic or athletic talents it is still possible for them gain excellence in the field of their choice through constant practice. That is because someone who practices a skill everybody certainly has an edge over someone who rarely practises that skill in spite of being born with a special talent for it. For example, a research conducted by Sports Authority of India, concluded that any child can develop outstanding skills in sports provided that they are trained well. In other words, practice is the secret to success.

To conclude, through consistent practice it is possible for anyone to achieve expertise in arts and sports. This, however, does not mean that inborn skills are irrelevant. They do matter but those born with special talents also need practice to gain proficiency.

According to some people, some children are born with specific talents for sports or music. However, it is also argued that training can make any child a prominent athlete or musician. I believe that with proper training, any child can achieve success in sports or music. This essay will discuss both viewpoints.

On the one hand, people who learn and adapt better than others are considered to be God-gifted by several individuals. This is because they upgrade their skills with minimum guidance, and in some cases, teenagers become proficient in their field of interest without any instructions. Meanwhile, others may spend a great deal of time in learning and are still not able to develop similar or higher skills. To illustrate, the American rapper Eminem is one of the finest examples of inborn talent because he developed his rapping skills without any training or degree.

On the other hand, some say that any child can be taught to become a skilful athlete or musician. The reason is that continuous practice makes a person proficient in and confident of his game or his ability to play an instrument. Even though some could argue that only God-gifted kids can develop these skills, a fine teacher can transform any kid into a proficient athlete. For instance, the Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was not an exceptional cricket player in his childhood, but his coach had invested time in making him one of the best players of the world. This demonstrates that if a kid is guided and trained effectively, he can become successful in his selected profession.

To conclude, the aforementioned points make it evident there are certain individuals who learn and develop their skills better than others and considered as children with special abilities. In my perspective, training and guidance can make any person proficient in sports and music.

After witnessing many people’s success in their field, society presumes that they are born with this skill and characteristics. While others believe that by providing training anyone could learn such types of skills and master in that particular domain. In subsequent paragraphs, I will discuss both these views and give my opinion.

To commence with, inborn talented individuals have many advantages such as they have already acquired the basic skills and what else they need to pour is conditioning to those skills. Moreover, another benefit is, they need to focus less on tasks while they are pursuing lessons. Although, sometimes it might create several drawbacks. As they can behave as arrogant because they consider themselves as supremely talented people and they feel that no one is better than them. For example, a famous Bollywood superstar ruined his career by similar thought while his career was at peak position.

On the other side, personally I believe that training anyone in their interested area could make him/her master. Not every person is born with talent but a good teacher’s influence can lead him/her to the pinnacle spot. Motivation and encouragement also play vital role. For instance, Sushant Singh Rajput, a top-notch actor made his career in Bollywood. As in one interview he says that his mentor’s support and advice taught him a lot because before acting only thing he knew was dancing, he had not even any clue in his mind that he would recognise as superstar of cinema.

To conclude, in my personal opinion, a person who was born with talent has enormous benefits thought, I claim that by teaching and providing support anyone could learn and pursue mastery in their interested area.
