Band 7.5 IELTS essay sample

Inventors create new things for us such as new technology and electronics while doctors save our life when we need them. Some people say that inventors are not as important as doctors. However, in my opinion, both are equally important and I will discuss the reasons in the following paragraphs.

To commence with / start with, nowadays we cannot live without technology such as our phones, televisions and in summers we cannot imagine our life without air conditioner. Moreover, for example, a survey was conducted in America which manifest that 80% of the youth cannot live without phones and laptops. Another reason is that if we are able to travel between two countries or get up to the moment information, it is because of technology. So, we should be thankful to inventors / scientists for making our life easier.

On the other hand, doctors are the ones who give us life or cure our ailment whenever we are ill. Whenever people are ill, they just trust the doctor and take the medicine prescribed to them. For instance, if somebody has an accident, people will call the ambulance and take that person to the hospital and at that time the doctor is the God for the patient. As doctors take care of our health, their importance too cannot be discounted.

To conclude, after discussing both viewpoints we can say that both doctors and creators are essential for the well-being of the society and they also benefit from each other’s work. A doctor uses technological innovations to cure the patients; likewise, inventors see doctors when they fall ill.
