These days, companies usually have aggressive media campaigns, which majorly focus on their products’ uniqueness and how their products are different than the competitors. The rationale behind this is to get a larger market share.  In my opinion, this is a positive trend as it benefits the target customer most.

Organizations are spending fortunes to showcase their products different than rival companies to capture the maximum market share. This not only boasts the sales but also increases the profitability in the long run. BMW, for instance, talks a lot about the latest features of their cars in television commercials. Such in-depth information does help customers to understand the key specifications of the product, which influence them to purchase the product.  What is more, the brands believe to spend extravagantly on advertisement for image building of their products. The main purpose behind this is to create a niche image of their products amongst the masses so that people can start considering the product as a social status.

Undoubtedly, this is advantageous for customers because such adverts do provide knowledge to the prospective customers about the product. As a result, it helps customers to decide what to buy. Furthermore, companies usually work hard with their research and development department to produce innovative products. Therefore, customers will get more and more latest merchandise.
