In the future, nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

According to some people, no one will buy paper-based newspaper in the future as they can read what they want via the internet without paying any cost. I do not agree this statement because of the following reasons.  Most of the people have a chance to read online-books but they prefer read printed books. In addition, e-books are not free most of the time.

First of all, we live in computer age and online books, e-books, are already so popular around the world. However, if we look the number of sales for most of the books, people would rather to buy printed books than online books! Moreover, e- books are not free in general, especially new books, all books are written by author and they, obviously, need to earn money to live.

On the other hand, E- books do not suit for everyone. For instance, I would like to write down notes when I read books. Some people talk about e-books are not healthy for eyes in long term. In addition, Most of the people have a library in their home, therefore, they may love to keep books that they read in their library. As can be seen, people choose printed books due to personel preferences.

To sum up, most of the people choose paper-based books than e-books for several reasons nowadays. I believe that the situation can be same in the future. People may not prefer e-books, even e-books are cheaper than printed books ,because of online books are not their cup of tea.
