As urban population increases, the demand for homes also increases; however, there is little space available for building new homes in cities and hence some people argue that construction activity should be permitted in the countryside. I support this view.
To begin with, the cities are becoming over-crowded owing to the booming population and as a result, there is very little space left behind to build new homes in the cities. Moreover, many people from rural areas are migrating to cities to avail of better facilities and hence, there is ample space present in the countryside for construction. Establishment of new buildings could bring new opportunities for people in back countries. When new homes are available in rural areas, more people will move there and this will improve the infrastructure available there.
In addition, if the development of residential premises continues in cities, there could be a rampant surge in pollution. This will not only affect our nature but also hamper the health of the masses. Along with the good houses, people also need green parks and fresh air for a healthy lifestyle. To mitigate this, it has become necessary to build new residential structures in the countryside.
In conclusion, the government and local construction authorities of any country should not restrict the construction outside towns; rather they should enforce strict laws to ensure that construction activity does not cause much damage to the environment so that the beauty of the pastorals remain intact.
