In many countries, women no longer feel the need to get married. Some people believe that this is because women are able to earn their own income and therefore do not require the financial security that marriage can bring. To what extent do you agree?

In several nations, many women now willingly remain unmarried. According to a few people, this is because they are capable of earning for themselves, so they do not need any financial support that comes with marriage. However, I do not quite agree with this viewpoint. While I do admit that women no longer require a man to provide for them, in my opinion, financial independence is not the only reason that stops them from getting married. Rather, it is the need for greater levels of freedom and an opportunity to pursue their careers with no hurdles on the way.
Modern women are educated and ambitious. Just like men, they want to pursue a career. Women believe that marriage can become a hurdle in the path of their dreams. It can be commonly seen that most of the time, females get married at the age of 23 years, just after the completion of their higher studies. After the marriage, they get busy taking care of their husband and in-laws. They do not get time to follow their hobbies. If they conceive a child, they start living their lives thinking about the future of their offspring. In the end, they completely forget about their passions and goals. This is the reason why many women choose to remain single these days.
Furthermore, the freedom of women gets sacrificed after the marriage. This is because they have to make every decision of their lives by taking the permission of their husband and in-laws. For example, whether they can continue their working life, they can do their own business, or they can study further, all these decisions will be taken by their in-laws. Therefore, they feel dependent on someone for doing anything in their lives. To live their life freely and independently, they decide to never get married in their lives.
In conclusion, financial independence is not the only reason that encourages women to stay single. Actually, the need for greater levels of freedom in all aspects of life is the main factor that prevents them from getting married.
