IELTS test in Algeria
The following questions were asked on an IELTS test (General module) recently held in Algeria.
Listening test
The section 1 of the listening test was a piece of conversation about university dormitory rooms. Students were asked to complete a form based on the conversation.
In section 2, two people were heard talking about life in the Iron Age. Questions were of the multiple choice type.
In section 3, two people were heard talking about preparing for an interview. Questions: complete a summary
Section 4 was a lecture about crocodiles.
Reading test
Passage 1 was about the safety and security measures that should be taken while working with chemical substances.
Questions: gap fills
Passage 2 was about the advertisement of an art exhibition. Questions: match statements to the right paragraph.
Passage 3 was about natural therapy. Questions were of the True / False / No given type.
Writing test
The first task was to write a letter.
Question:
You bought an electronic device from an online store. Unfortunately it was damaged when it reached your hands. Write a letter to the seller and explain:
What the damage was and what you want them to do.
You can spend 20 minutes on this task. You have to write at least 150 words.

Parents now spend less time with their children. Explain the positive and the negative aspects of this trend. Give examples from your own experience.
