The IELTS listening test takes about 30 minutes. You will get 20 minutes to listen to a tape and answer questions based on what you hear. You can use the remaining 10 minutes to transfer your answers to the Answer Sheet.
The listening test has four subsections in the order of increasing difficulty. In each section you will listen to a dialogue or a monologue. Note that the listening tape is played only once and the answers must be entered while you are listening. You will, however, get 10 minutes to transfer your answers to the Answer Sheet.
