Some people believe that more money should be spent on medical research and less on environmental research. While spending more money for medical findings is necessary, I believe that allocating funds to research the environment is equally vital.
On the one hand, governments should spend more money to build more facilities in the field of medical research. Diseases like cancer are non-curable nowadays, if you not detected in the early stages. Therefore, more funds should be allocated to the medical sector to find a cure for such diseases. For many ailments, the cost of treatment is pretty high and people are dying because they cannot afford it.
To solve these problems, finding affordable treatment is essential. At the same time, I believe that finding ways to solve the environmental problems is crucial for human survival. Humans are damaging the environment to fulfill their needs. More funds are required to do research to find sustainable ways to use the resources. This will help to minimise the consumption of resources and enable us to preserve them for the upcoming generations. If we do not spend money now for environmental research, problems like floods, global warming and droughts will get worse in the future. By providing funds to the environment sector, scientists from different countries can work together and share their experience and help to save the planet earth from these serious problems.
In conclusion, although providing funds for finding the cure of lethal diseases is important, it seems to me that protecting the environment is also necessary.
