I admit that / I agree with the view that fast food is much convenient, but the regular consumption could be harmful for the health.
In this competitive society, people’s tough schedule leads them toward junk food options. They feel that it is a waste of time to spend time on cooking their meals especially when they have so many food options around them. Furthermore, such foods are much cheaper and can be easily available at your doorstep on a single click. For example, a recent survey conducted by the University of Medical Science, Sharjah concluded that 7 out of 10 people opt for the easy meal option due its convenience and fast service offered by the online food delivery portal.
Though fast-food is readily available it can have a negative impact on our health. Fast food producers use multiple kinds of chemicals to enhance and improve the taste and shelf life of their products. Due to this, food lose its nutritional values which is the vital need of human body; therefore, it causes various diseases such as obesity or high cholesterol etc. For instance, a study conducted by the USA health department found that people who gained weight during the period 2010 to 2017 consumed on average 9 junk food meals in a week. This clearly shows how the unhealthy eating habits are bad for human body.
To conclude, it is true that fast food is widely available and saves our time but in the longer run it is very bad for our health. On the contrary, home cooked meals require time and dedication; however, their health benefits are worth the effort we put in.
