Computers have become an integral part of our lives now. Some people opine that they should be introduced into our teaching system whereas others argue that it could lead to harmful effects on students. Personally, I feel computers will help students in making their studies easier and practical. In my essay, I will discuss both the arguments and give examples to support my opinion.
First and foremost, we can make subjects easier for children to understand by using computers. Lessons can be made more interesting for the students by using audios and videos along with the text. The knowledge gained from audio-video illustrations has greater impression and thus stays for a longer period of time in children’s mind. For example, a tough subject like chemistry can be made simpler by showing how an experiment is carried out live on a video. Also, subjects like languages are best learnt if taught through a computer. Students can listen to native speakers. This will help children to develop intonations and native pronunciation.
However, excessive use of any technology is harmful. Children’s dependance on computers can affect their health. For Instance, long hours of screen time could cause issues with their vision. In addition, prolonged sitting in front of computers could cause low back pain. Nonetheless, these problems can be alleviated by taking certain precautions such as mandatory breaks in between the classes and arranging regular physical activity/training sessions.
To conclude, nowadays, computers are essential for our education system. Appropriate use of computers along with the help of teachers can improve the teaching quality and probably will help student in learning their subjects faster.

As the world is getting digitalized, it is essential to make computers an integral part of our education system. Some people argue that there are downsides to using computers in the classroom. In my opinion, if a few precautions are taken, computerized teaching will help students to learn their subjects in a better and easier way.
Firstly, teaching with the help of computer software is extremely beneficial as it helps the child learn their subjects in a better and innovative way. For example, subjects like chemistry are boring and difficulty. However, they can be made more interesting to the students by simulating the experiments with the help of computer programs. This will have more impacts on students and help them learn more easily. Children are naturally attracted to sights and sounds. As computer lessons incorporate both, they capture the attention of the students and improve their learning outcomes.
On the other hand, teaching with computers certainly has some associated detrimental effects on students especially on their health. This is because long hours of study will increase their screen time and eventually cause eye strain. Computer dependence can cause other problems as well. For example, it can affect the thinking capacity of students. Computers provide readymade answers and eliminate the need to research or read. Actually, computer programs have spell-checkers and grammar-checkers and they can affect the language skills of students.
In conclusion, while it is true that there are some downsides to excessive use of computers in learning, I believe that computer and computer applications should be used in schools as it will elevate the academic performance of students.

Now that computers are being used everywhere, some people argue that they should be used in the classroom as well. Others, however, insist that extensive use of computers and computer programs in the classroom pose some risks. Both views will be discussed in this essay before arriving at a conclusion.
The main advantage of computers is that they can store tons of information. Also, computers make learning more fun and interactive with the help of audio-visual learning material. Another benefit of using computers in the classroom is that they make children tech savvy. This is important because children will eventually have to use them at work. If they start using computers from an early age, they will have no difficulty using them later on.
On the contrary, the dependence on computers can bear health hazards. Even though modern computers are equipped with safety measures, prolonged exposure to such devices may cause health problems such as eyes strain and neck cramps. However, this can be countered / tackled by offering short breaks and a mandatory class based on physical activities.
Health problems are not the only issue. While computers do make learning fun, they also affect the cognitive development in many ways. For example, most students who use computers extensively do not know the spelling of even common words. Their handwriting is too bad and their general knowledge is limited because if they need some information, they just search it online. This eliminates the need to memorize things. If you take the computer and the internet away and ask these children to write a letter or a report of 100 words, most of them will struggle. For these reasons I am against the excessive use of computers at school. Let children learn primarily from textbooks and write with their hand.
To conclude, it is evident that computers are essential for our education system. If the appropriate use of computers along with the supervision of teachers is implemented, then children can learn better and quicker via computers than from the conventional methods of teaching.
