Some argue that finishing university education is a definite way of obtaining a well-paid job whereas others believe that experience and soft skills are way more crucial. In my opinion, university education will definitely offer a higher chance to get a job than just a bag of experience and soft skills.
On the one hand, experience is pivotal for some as businesses need to obtain handful deals. For example, more deals will result to higher business turnover which indeed benefits the company and people related to it. Furthermore, managing people and gaining experience beforehand, works as a leverage in the field of work. Indeed, they get respected for the kind of experience and networking they are great at due to their repeated practise of the same in years.
On the other hand, I vehemently agree to the argument that education will support in achieving a person’s dream job. Firstly, this happens as university students are groomed with clearer foundation skills thus obtaining a greater value and monetary benefit in jobs. Such employees have an upper hand than those with just few years of experience to figure job roles out. Moreover, university education brings in obvious chances of networks to secure a job. For example, friends and professor contacts helps in setting up an interview which in turn gets them a good job successfully.
In conclusion, I agree that education results in a theoretical foundational base and networks acquired through the university whereas experience would bring in business turnover and high respect towards their field of work. Given this situation, a good high paying job is a distant dream for people focusing on experiences and soft skills alone.
