I support the company’s decision to offer work from option to some employees who perform jobs that can also be done remotely. Of course, not everyone will be able to benefit from this option since some jobs need to be done from office. Still, I believe that it is a fair choice considering the financial difficulty that we are facing today.

When employees work from home, the company can save money on utilities. We can also save money on rentals which at the moment is one of our biggest expenses. The company can allay the concerns of those employees who might be miffed by this decision by rationally explaining to them how important it is for us to cut costs to stay competitive in the current scenario. The company can also consider offering them additional perks like more holidays or paid vacations.

Overall, in my opinion, remote working is a fair option and beneficial for both employees and the management. Just because some jobs need employees to be present in the office, it does not mean that all employees should come to work. Those who can telecommute should be allowed to do that and those who cannot, should be told to come to work.

Work From Home Survey CELPIP | CLB Level 8 Answer

Numerous companies are taking the initiative to allow their employees to work to home. Some of them are even thinking of making this change a permanent one.

So if our company is deciding to enforce the work from home culture in our office, in my opinion it is a welcome step. Although employees working in certain departments will still have to come to office, I am sure the management’s decision to offer work from home is unbiased.

There are quite a few benefits to working from home. First and foremost, the productivity can be increased. According to a survey conducted by the magazine Business Now, the productivity of the workforce increased by 30% after they started working from home. In addition, employees can save at least 2 hours a day as they do not have to commute to work. More importantly the company can save money on office rentals and utilities. However, it is an obvious fact that some workers have to sacrifice for the greater good. The company can convince them by offering them more perks.

All in all, work from home would be beneficial for both workers and management. Also, some of the issues related to work from home can be discussed during next meeting.
