Dear Ashima,
I’m glad to hear that you want to learn to drive so I thought of writing a letter to offer some friendly guidance.
At the outset itself, I want to tell you that this is one of the best decisions you have taken. There are many advantages to getting a driving license especially when you live in the USA where a car is a must. If you know how to drive you can go for grocery shopping whenever you want and you are not dependent on your husband’s schedule. Moreover, a driving license is a proof of identity.
By the way, if you haven’t already joined a driving school, I would like to recommend Ohm’s Driving School. They are reputed driving school with branches all over the USA. They offer training in their own cars and also lend the same car for the test day. Also, their working hours are flexible and fee is affordable.
As you probably already know, there is a written test before the road test. I am sending you some sample question papers so that you can prepare for it. As for the road test, well, it is not as hard as you think. You can actually familiarize yourself with the right hand style driving by sitting next to your husband when he drives and observing his style.
