Band 8.5 IELTS Letter Sample
Dear Mr. Brown,
I am writing to complain about the late night noises coming from your home. I live in house number 271 which is next to yours. I have been facing this problem for about one month.
Sometimes the volume of your television is too high, while at other times the noise of late night parties is creating trouble for me. I am a student and a part-time worker. Actually, I have to study late into the night because my exams are coming up next month. I wouldn’t have bothered to write if I didn’t have exams coming up.
I am in no way trying to interfere in your personal affairs, but I would really appreciate it if you could reduce the volume of your TV at night and it would be great if you could also postpone any parties you are planning to organize this month or next month.
I hope you will understand my situation.
Thank you for your consideration
Yours sincerely,
XYZ

Dear Mr. Abc,
I am writing this letter with regard to the problem that I am facing.
I am getting quite unbearable noise from your apartment, especially in the evening, probably it is due to television or other infotainment gadgets. Due to such loudness, it is very hard for me to concentrate on my studies.
Initially, the frequency of this noise was very rare, however, in the last couple of weeks it has become a daily routine, additionally, the level of volume has gone up to a deafening state. With that much volume, anyone can disturb.
Hence, kindly control the volume of whichever gadget you are using, alternatively, you can consider moving to a different society where noise problem is not an issue for your neighbors.
I insist you look into this matter with supreme priority and take the necessary actions as soon as possible.
Looking forward to the problem being resolved.
Yours sincerely,
