Band 7.5 IELTS letter sample

Dear Sir,

My name is (………………….) and I am one of the students in your advanced English course, regular evening batch. I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction with the grade I received for my essay writing project.

Well, I personally feel that my essay deserves more than 35 marks out of 50 but unfortunately, I was given only 30 marks. This is despite the fact that my essay satisfies all the criteria of a good essay.

First and foremost, I addressed all the points that were relevant. Secondly, I used an adequate number of cohesive devices and sequenced the paragraphs logically. And lastly, I used a wide range of vocabulary with complex structures and there were few grammatical errors. Hence, I want my essay to be reassessed as I am certain that I deserved more marks.

Thank you for your time.

I look forward to your positive response.

Yours Sincerely,
