The bar graph gives information about the total hours of weekly leisure time enjoyed by men and women of different employment background from 1998 to 1999.
Overall, men in general had more time for leisure in a week than women. People who enjoyed the most leisure time were the unemployed and the retired. The unemployed and the retired people shared the same amount of leisure time. Unemployed and retired men enjoyed / had almost 7 hours more of leisure time than women in a week. Full time employees had less free time than unemployed and retired people. Full time employed men had around 50 hours of weekly free time, while full time employed women only had slightly under 40 hours of leisure.
In addition, women working part time had almost 40 hours of leisure time per week, whereas housewives had almost 10 more hours of free time, at approximately 50 hours per week. No data was available for men working part time or those who stay at home.
