In the present world, it is seen that a large number of people depend on the internet for most of their needs. There is no doubt that people prefer the internet to newspaper for news updates. However, in my opinion, although the readership of newspapers is declining gradually, they have their own place in the news industry.
Newspapers are considered to be the most important source of news and information for several reasons. The era of newspapers began long ago, much before the emergence of the internet and it will not come to an end anytime soon.
The old generation people and even many youngsters still rely on newspapers because they are used to reading newspapers from their very young age and it has become their habit. People cannot give up and old habit all of a sudden. And also not all people are comfortable with the latest technologies. Moreover, there are still many people who are not familiar with phones and computers and there are also places where the internet facility is not at all present. Better still, newspapers do not cause any eye strain. Consequently, people can read them for long hours. Another factor that works in favour of newspapers is their credibility. It is hard to ensure the veracity of information found online. However, in the case of newspapers, people can trust the source.
To conclude, although technology is developing fast, it cannot completely replace the traditional ways of accessing news and information. Online sources may continue to grow in popularity, but in my opinion, newspapers are here to stay because in addition to being a good source of news, newspapers inculcate the habit of reading in people.

In this modern era, internet has revolutionized in all facets of life including the method of reading news. People have started using the online websites and mobile applications to get news updates; even so, some readers still prefer to read traditional paper rather than sticking to the screen. In this essay I will discuss both views before reaching a conclusion.
To begin with, there are numerous advantages of using state of the art devices to grab news headlines but the most prominent is the portability offered by it. It is no longer required to carry a paper on journeys as one can come to know about the happenings in the world with just a few clicks. Moreover, it is ecofriendly to use internet for reading news because no papers are used for printing which can be a proactive initiative for a safer environment. So, online news has plethora of benefits over paper based news.
However, old people still like to enjoy morning tea with a newspaper; not only old age but youngsters also like to gain knowledge or improve their vocabulary with the help of reading daily newspaper. Excessive use of screens for reading can result in causing strain and leaves a bad effect on our eyes whereas the experience of holding a paper in hand is always amusing. Also, internet is succumb to glitches and is not accessible in every nook and corner of our country but a paper can certainly reach remote areas of our nation. Thus, the long living offline newspapers cannot be ever replaced by new online ones.
All in all, while internet news has set up a benchmark in its available options but old standard newspapers also holds a steady place in our society.

Internet is the biggest invention of the modern world and people are using it for various purposes. One such purpose is reading news. This has raised the question on the sustainability of the newspaper. A popular stratum of society deems that though more and more people are using source of internet for news but the importance of newspaper would remain same. I endorse this statement wholeheartedly and will explain in the paragraphs to come.
To begin with, why people using internet for getting news? First reason is that internet gives live news from all over the world within seconds. For example, if earthquake comes in any part of the world, news immediately uploaded online and people get connected with their near and dear ones to know their safety. Second benefit is that internet can be used anytime and anywhere whether you are on travelling or sitting at home or office to get current news.
On the contrary, Nobody can neglect the importance of newspaper in daily life. It is the prime and oldest source of media. Newspaper brings local ,national and international news in detail in a cheaper way . There is hardly any person who does not read newspaper with the morning cup of tea. Newspaper not only brings news but many articles on education, career, science, beauty, business , health comes along with them that keep people’s knowledge up to date. Moreover, prolong use of internet creates health problems such eye strain , obesity, bad pasture. But newspaper does not create any health ailments. In addition to it, newspaper can be read by one but internet can only be used who is literate in using technology.
After the overall analysis, it can be concluded that though use of internet for reading news is becoming popular but due to the benefits of newspaper, its importance for news will remain forever.
