Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to express my concerns about the banyan tree which has grown in front of my house. It is really creating problems for me.

The branches of the tree have grown dramatically over the last two years and due to this fact I am not able to park my car properly. Furthermore, I have noticed that a variety of snakes lives in the holes of this tree. I am afraid that it could harm my children. They often play under this tree. Also, this tree has become home to numerous birds and their droppings create a foul smell in its surroundings.

Since it is causing a lot of inconvenience to us, I request you to take the measures to cut it down. If that is not possible, please allow me to cut its overhanging branches so that I can get some relief. Apart from that, I would like to know how much of the cost I will have to bear.
