Band 9 IELTS Letter Sample

Dear Tom,

I received your letter two days ago and I am so glad that you want to find a job in China. Yesterday I discussed this with one of my friends working at Baidu, a large IT company in Beijing, and he told me that they wanted to hire someone who could be responsible for their new English version website. I think this job is really suitable for you, because they want someone who has soft programming skills and perfect command of English.

I know you have great interest in soft programming and you taught me a lot about how to design a website when I was in Canada last year. You even showed me lots of amazing websites and online games that you created yourself. So I think this job is really suitable for you. And since English is your mother tongue, you will not have any problems about it.

You can find information about the vacancy on their website. Search for the English version of the Baidu Corporation online. If you have any questions about this vacancy, please feel free to contact me.

Hope to hear from you soon.

All the best!

Dear Jane,

I’m extremely excited to tell you that a local channel covering wildlife in my country has a new position open for a full-time photographer! I’m writing to let you know the good news and think you might be interested in it.

The job involves the responsibility of taking pictures of wild animals and plants for their Into the Wild program. In addition, you have to be proficient in using photo editing tools such as Photoshop, because it is essential that you add some touches to your photographs before publication.

The main reason why I think the position is suitable for you is that you’re both a professional photographer and a nature fanatic. I’ve seen a wide range of your works before and firmly believe you’re a perfect match for the job.

To apply for the position, you have to go through an online application, in which you will be asked to fill in relevant personal information, upload some portfolios, a cover letter and your resumé. I’ve attached the website link below for your reference so that you can find more information directly.

Good luck,

Nicholas

Dear Lakshmi,

I was so excited when I received your letter two days ago and I’m thrilled to know that you are here in my country. I came across an advertisement yesterday regarding a recruitment drive on a local website. I believe that there are job openings for data scientists and they are suitable for you.

There is a particular start-up company that caught my interest. The job description put up by the company requires the candidate to have previous experience working with Canadian clients. I can see that you are the best fit for the position as you had been working there for nearly ten years before travelling back to India.

The job requires you to interact with senior delegates and gather information from them. Later, the requirements are to be translated to functional specifications for the team to work on. You can look up the organisation MyDataResearch from the website, countryrecruitmentdrive.in, to gain more information about the company and the work involved. You can post your resume if you find it useful.

All the best!

Dear Jay,

I am so happy to hear that you want to find a job in India. I am currently working as a software developer at TCS.  Yesterday I found a job opening that might be of interest to you. The job involves developing a website in French. It would be suitable for you since you have a degree in programming and also French is your first language.

I know you have a lot of interest in programming and you taught me some amazing skills during my time in London. You even showed me some websites and games that you created during your internship program.  So, I think this job is really suitable for you.

You can find information about the vacancy on the company website when you search the French version of TCS company online. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the job vacancy, please let me know.

All the best

Paul
