The pie charts illustrate the comparison of energy production of France in 1995 and 2005 for coal, gas, petrol, nuclear and for other kinds of energy in terms of percentage. Overall, it can be seen that except petrol all other energy production have shown an increase in 2005. The most significant energy production was from coal and gas as it contributed to more than 50% of the share. It is evident from the chart that coal had a major share in the energy production of in both the years as compared to other produce, and it has increased from 29.80% to 30.93% in 2005. Similarly, gas production was 29.63% in 1995 and it rose to 30.31% in 2005. Nuclear and other produce increased from 6.40% and 4.90% to 10.10% and 9.10% respectively, which had a change of around 5%. On the contrary, petro energy production showed a decline in 2005, as it went down to 19.55% from 20.27%.
