Band 7.5 IELTS letter sample

Dear Vignesh,

I was delighted to receive your message. In your message, you stated that you would be starting an import and export business soon in Singapore. I’m really happy for you.

I’d like to recommend you to import fruits and vegetables, especially tomatoes from Malaysia. Tomato farming is very popular in the southern regions of Malaysia. Tomatoes play an essential part in our daily food regardless of the cuisine. Singapore being an island nation does not have enough farmlands to cultivate any vegetable or fruit and this is the main reason I recommend you to import tomato. Tomatoes require an optimum temperature and adequate water supply which are available in the southern regions of Malaysia. There are many grades and varieties available depending on the quality of the tomatoes.

Since Singapore is very close to southern Malaysia, transportation by road is readily available all year round. If we plan to buy in bulk quantities, you will also get great discounts. Please think about it and let me know.

I’d love to hear from you, soon.

Warm wishes,

I founds this site is immensely helpful for the practice mostly writing section.
But i have seen there are some irrelevant things such as ” I’m really happy for you. I’d love to hear from you, soon.I’d like to recommend ”
As per the writing correction in BC and IDP the short forms should not allowed in writing, we need to write full sentence like I am/ I would like.

secondly, we need to use connectors namely moreover, furthermore, in addition to this and many more.

    Thank You.

Contracted verb forms are perfectly all right in informal letters like the one above. Actually, they are recommended. Of course, they should be avoided in formal letters and essays.

      Thanks for your comment.

    Dear Shravan,
Hope you are fine. Yesterday, I received your letter and happy to hear that you are going to start up a business in India.
From my perception, electronic business would be better in this advance world because most of the population of India is more attracted to these items. You can import it from Japan, Vietnam, etc. where you can get the quality product as well as in reasonable prize. Moreover, if you buy as a bulk you can get more discounts, which can increase your profit.
There are several advantages for it, Firstly; you don’t have to take a separate store room unlike in other business. Secondly, there is no expiry date for these products and no worries about the damage. Even though, if in one month the sale is down you don’t have to worry about the safety of the product.
Write back soon after you confirm it, Good luck for your future endeavor.
    Yours lovingly,
