Band 7.5 IELTS letter sample

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to request you to move me to another room.  I am extremely unhappy with my current roommate in the shared accommodation. I hope you consider my request to be fair and take a favourable decision.

Let me get into the details. My current flat mate converts our accommodation into a late night party scene during the weekdays and plays loud music. Many a time, I brought this to his notice and but he chose not to listen to my repeated requests. Nowadays, it is becoming increasingly difficult to either study or work.

Given this predicament, I request you to transfer me into any other flat where I can have some peace and quiet. I do not mind being in shared accommodation, as long as my roommate keeps a low profile and does not make any loud noises.

Thank you for your consideration.

Yours faithfully,

Rahul Menon

    Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to request an accommodation where I can focus on my final year research and thesis writing properly. I have a deadline at the end of July which is just a month away. I have a problem with hot water in my room and also my room partner’s behavior is intolerable. It would be difficult for me to finish my project if the problems with my accommodation and my room-mate persist any longer.

For your information, I am allergic to cold. But the hot water in my room is not consistent and when it comes, my room partner occupies the bathroom for a long time despite knowing my situation. Additionally, she makes a lot of noise while practicing her music and comes late in the room especially during the weekend which disturbs me a lot. All these reasons are affecting my work negatively. Therefore, I have come to a decision of changing a new room to stay.

If you allow me to choose then please provide me another accommodation with a student who studies at the same level as me and without any problem with hot water. Thank you.

    Yours sincerely,
    Susmita
