Band 8 IELTS letter sample

Dear Editor,

I am a regular reader of your monthly magazine ‘Pratiyogita Darpan’ and am writing to give you some honest feedback about it.

I am a UPSC aspirant and I follow your magazine for current affairs and exam based expected questions. It plays an important role in my preparation. Initially I was not aware of such material but when I joined the coaching institute for the preparation one of our faculty gave a list of reference materials and that included your magazine.

I tried almost every book which was recommended by my teacher but only yours I found interesting and helpful. The way of providing information with key points along with summarized detail is quite different. And the questions are also very relevant. Overall, I like your magazine and recommend it to anyone who is preparing for government services.

The only thing which sometimes irritates me is the printing quality. The printing quality of some of the copies I bought was not good and it made it difficult to read the text properly. So, please make sure that in future no such copies will get distributed.

Thank you so much for bringing out this wonderful magazine. I sincerely appreciate your effort.

Yours sincerely,

    Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am an ardent reader of your magazine ‘ Bangalore Times ‘ and I am writing to provide my honest feedback with regard to it.

I am a final year MBA student and currently working on my HR project on women entrepreneurship. While at the start of my dissertation topic, I referred to a couple of magazines as advised by my mentor. Although I read quite a few journals, I liked your magazine for my project reference.

I appreciate the way the articles have wide comprehensive information about the leading businesswomen of the current generation such as their achievements, obstacles, and determination. However, despite all these features. I disliked the fact that their educational and background information is not provided whereas the other well-known businessman’s detailed information is mentioned.
Hence, I would humbly request you to add all the necessary data of every corporate leader henceforth as it inspires youth and enhances the magazine’s brand.
I look forward to hearing your response
    Yours faithfully,
    Afrin Ali
