Scientific inventions have fascinated the human beings. While some people believe that new inventions / innovations cause more problems, others disagree. In their opinion, these innovations have helped the mankind. I agree with the latter view. This essay will discuss how the advantages in medical sciences and enhanced communication have helped the humans.

The first and foremost advantage is the innovation of medicine. Vaccinations have helped not only the humans, but also the animals. Now people do not die of any preventable disease. Gone are the days when people died from a simple fever or epidemic like plague. There are medicines available. To illustrate, in last five decades, the life expectancy has increased from 51 years to 67 years in India. Therefore, it is incontrovertible that these modern inventions have helped mankind.

Secondly, the interaction among people has risen significantly. Human beings are social animals. People need to be social and communicate with each other. Mobile communication and internet have helped to take it to the next level and set new benchmarks for communications. People can use text, audio or video to socialise. Children can talk to parents while they are travelling. People can find and talk to their friends irrespective of time and location. For example, online networks like Facebook and Whatsapp have given people a platform to interact.

There is no denying that the new researches have some hazardous by-products like nuclear bombs and other arms and ammunition. Also, overuse of mobile is harmful for the children. However, these are controllable issues. For these reasons, the development should not be clogged.

In conclusion, new innovations have benefited the human beings with enhanced medical sciences and developed social networks. There are some problems associated with new researches. Humans should use their wisdom to reduce the disadvantages and enhance the advantages for mankind.

Undoubtedly, society is divided into two groups as per the distinct mindset of different people. Therefore, this has become a debatable issue whether advent of technology in all fields developed more issues or benefited human beings to improve their lifestyles. This essay will not only shed light on both perceptions but also my point of view will be elaborated in conclusion.
To commence with the first notion, there are myriad of things to be shared in its favor. First of all, modern technology made a huge impact to develop modern equipment to find out the disease which could have happen in future as well as there is plethora of benefits in preventive and curative medicines such as vaccine for polio and insulin for diabetic patients. Secondly, implementation of technology in agricultural cultivation is another benefit of modern world, to exemplify, seedless fruits and vegetables are harvested in uncountable quantities by western countries using of modern innovations.
Moving towards the second argument of this debate, the first point of this issue is that al most innovations found by the scientist are using against the nature by individuals hence it destroys the eco system which badly affect the survival of other habitat. For instance, there is huge decrease in elephants due to the extinction of forest and people are killing them for tusk to make the product for their entertainment. Apart from this, extraordinary changes in climate ever seen in lifetime due to the high emissions from automotive innovation.
According to my perspective, if people will move forward in this way human being will be eradicated from this earth due to modern innovations so we should go back to ancient days, live with nature, yet it is very hard to adjust because of lifestyle change.

    Question
In some parts of the word it is becoming popular to research the history of one’s own family.
Why might people want to do this?
Is it a positive or negative development?

In some countries now there is a trend of finding the family pedigree. I believe going through family history is a positive attitude and this essay will explain why people do research of their own family history.
One of the main reasons is to find out where they are coming from. Most of people are not live in where their grandparents born and they adapt to the culture where they live. So when they search for their history they can study culture and believe of their origin. Secondly people can study about legends in their blood line it will bell be a positive approach to their life. For example Genaral Kobbekaduwa in Sri lankan army is one of relative of Monarawilla Keppetipola who served for King Sri Wikrama Rajasinghe in 1800 who fought against English army.

To network among the own family members and to be more powerful in the society. The surname ( Ge name) is one of the key identity the family has As example Bandaranaka, Weijewardanaand Rajapaksha families have dominated in Srilankan polical history. On the other hand in Sri Lanka there are some families who arrange family get-togethers annually, for that some members are coming from different parts of the world. The wealthy members of the family are helping for the people who need support for education business and also who need special medical treatments so on. As well as the members who live abroad have benefits of getting know to the culture and tradition of the orgin family.
In conclusion researching of own family history is a positive approach to the society and it will lead to a better future in the word.
