Model Answer

Dear Sir / Madam
I am writing this letter in response to the vacancy of an English teacher advertised in the Times of India on 6th July 2011. This is the kind of job opportunity I have been looking for because I am very keen on building a career in education.

I am a qualified teacher with a post graduate degree in English. I believe that I am eligible for this job because I have extensive experience in teaching. I have been teaching at a private school for over five years. I am also familiar with the psychology of children.

The reason why I am applying for this job is that it will provide me ample scope for professional growth. Although I enjoy my current job, I no longer find it challenging. It is also not a permanent position.  I assure you that if I am selected I will do my job conscientiously.

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Yours sincerely
