IELTS Speaking Questions: July 2011

The following questions were asked during an IELTS Speaking test held in Australia in July. These were the same questions that were asked during the speaking test in Tokyo and Vietnam.

Interview

What is your name?
Where are you coming from?
Are you coming from a small town or a big city?
Do you enjoy your life in this city?
What are the benefits of living in a big city?

Cue Card

Talk about something you did to help someone. A cue card was given with the following questions. Please say:

Whom you helped?
Why did you help?
How did the person benefit from it?

Discussion

The topic for discussion was related to the topic for speech.

Do you talk about the things you do for others?
Do you often help people?
Have you ever helped any visitors to your country?
Do you think it is important to help visitors?
Why do people help each other?
How can members of a family help each other?
