My name is John Mathews. I recently passed an interview for the position of Assistant Manager at your firm. I was supposed to start working on September 18th, but unfortunately that doesn’t look possible now.
I have been down with Chickenpox for almost a week now. My doctor has advised me to stay at home because it is a highly contagious disease. I am not feeling well either. I am running a temperature and have blisters all over my body. My doctor says that I will need another week or so to fully recover. If necessary I can submit a medical certificate from my doctor as a proof of my current state of health.
I really apologize for the inconvenience but as you know there is nothing I could have done to avoid this situation. I am hoping that this will in no way affect our relationship. Please let me know if I will need to submit any other form of proof.
