The graph below shows the unemployment rates in the US and Japan between March 1993 and March 1999. Write a report.

Student’s report

The given line chart depicts the information about the unemployment rates in the US and Japan during the period between March 1993 and March 1999.

Generally Speaking, there was decrease in the unemployment rate in the US over the period of 7 years. However, the unemployment rate increased in Japan during the period between March 1993 and March 1999.

As given in the chart, the unemployment rate was only 2.5% of work force in Japan in March 1993. However, it was increased during the period between March 1993 and March 1996 and reached nearly 4.4% of work force in March 1996. Thereafter, there was fluctuation in the same and touched 5.5% of work force in March 1999.

The unemployment rate was 7% of work force in the US in March 1993. This figure went down with fluctuation in the unemployment rate between March 1993 and March 1999. This figure touched 5.5% of work force in March 1993 which was the same in Japan in March 1999.
