Band 7.5 IELTS essay sample

According to some people, the conventional method of teaching by humans will be replaced in the near future by artificial intelligence. I disagree with this statement as computers are not efficient enough to understand mankind and hence there will always be a need for teachers. Also, in my opinion, online classes led by human teachers will be an alternative solution to traditional classroom lecture in the future.

Although technology has immensely developed, computers have not attained the stage to understand students’ feelings or level of understanding. In addition to mentoring, a tutor will aid each one of them in various vital factors such as evaluation, guidance and motivation which certainly cannot be provided by a machine. For example, Grammarly is an application which can check and automatically correct the structure of a sentence and word spelling; however, it is no substitute for a teacher and it cannot provide adequate help to English learners because it does not explain the mistake or offer any feedback to avoid it next time.

As for the alternative to traditional classroom teaching, in my opinion, online courses may be the norm in the coming years. They save individuals travelling time and infrastructure costs. By using this technology with the basic requirement of a laptop and an internet connection, a student can learn from any part of the world and can revise the lessons until they get satisfied. For instance, world-wide universities, namely The Oxford and Stamford, have online courses which can be attended by anyone for free and the doubts can be clarified with the instructors through Skype.

In conclusion, replacing teachers in the classroom by artificial intelligence may be plausible in the upcoming years; however, in my opinion it is not certainly beneficial to pupils due to various legitimate reasons and online teaching will be a possible alternative solution to the conventional classroom mentoring.

Some people argue that robots will take teachers position to teach in school in the future. I completely disagree with this statement and I believe the new teaching approach like online learning should provide students more benefits.

Teachers cannot be replaced because of their uniqueness. Teachers are well-trained in how to interact with students in a more acceptable way. For example, in Australia, the obtaining of a teaching degree in university requires them to learn communication skills, including the use of eye contact, body language or facial expression. None of these can be achieved by machines. Teachers can also provide instant feedback that robots cannot conduct. They can respond to the questions or comments effectively according to their experience rather than repetitive data from the system.

However, instead of a face-to-face educational system, distance learning can be a modern way to study. Firstly, many prestigious universities are offering online courses nowadays, which enables us to study with professors who are experts in their fields. For example, it is possible for us to study the courses that are offered by Oxford at home. Secondly, it is less time-consuming to attend online courses, as we do not have to spend time on travelling or dressing up. Finally, studying online make us have more choices on where to study, we can sit wherever comfortable for us like a café, in bed or library.

In conclusion, teachers will still be the main sources of education because of their incomparable knowledge and experience, but online study can be a new learning way for students.

It is believed that robots equipped with the latest software will replace tutors in the classrooms. A new teaching methodology will be introduced in educational institutions through artificial intelligence, hence robots would be teaching children in schools instead of human teachers while disagreeing with the statement I would suggest that the online tutorials and classes are a better substitute for the traditional way of teaching.

Although computer science has opened new horizons for mankind and every coming day brings the latest advancements but the computer can never be a replacement for human beings in certain matters, education is one of them. A teacher is a confidant counselor, mentor and a rectifier but a computer does not possess all these characteristics. It lacks psychological insight and acumen to teach a lesson by using different techniques for students with varying caliber and aptitude. For instance, MSWord, a popular software for writing and suggest the user certain aids but often they prove to be out of context and requires human intelligence to judge and select the available options.

Distance learning programs equipped with the latest communication means enabling virtual classes and using social networking software like skype and Zoom are an excellent substitute for conventional classroom learning. These online classes provide a great convenience to students as they can receive quality education while remaining at home but also are economical as compared to the traditional ones. Nowadays, several websites are providing these services to knowledge seekers like IELTS-Practice.org is benefiting thousands of students across the globe in learning English language and preparing for the IELTS examination.

To conclude, it is reiterated that despite the technological advancement, computers could not replace the teachers in classrooms due to their limitations and online classes are a convenient and economical substitute to the traditional ways of teaching.

This seems band 6.5 to me. There are several punctuation mistakes in this essay. Your first paragraph, for example, should be like:
