Band 7 IELTS essay sample

The issue of poverty is increasing at an alarming rate throughout the world. Owing to this, the wealthy people are increasingly growing wealthier and the condition of the impoverished is worsening. This essay will discuss the major reasons behind this situation and will propose some measures to ameliorate it.

One of the major issues caused by such a big financial gap between the two sections of the society is the social imbalance and the subsequent exploitation of the weaker section of the society. As all the power lies in a handful of people, the economy of such countries are dominated by them. As a result, they neglect the others and the condition of the poor degrades even more. For instance, in Zimbawe, the whole economy of the country depends on two dominant business tycoons for economical growth and job opportunities and the families of them are given royal treatment; however, their attitude towards the impoverished is awful.

To avoid such situations, the government should take measures to provide basic resources such as education to the economically deprived. Additionally, the authorities should give fair job opportunities to such people. For instance, a certain percentage of seats should be reserved in schools, colleges and work places for the poor people. Secondly, the government should decide a threshold beyond which the rich people cannot earn, and if they do so, they have to invest that much amount for the upliftment of the underprivileged section of the society.

In conclusion, as the gap between the rich and the poor is increasing in some countries, the poor section of the society has to face major issues of ill-treatment and the balance of the society is also disturbed. To overcome such situations, the government should understand the gravity of the situation and act wisely and in favour of all citizens.

Money is a prime factor in this modern world. The people who are born rich are utilizing all their resources to get more worth whereas poor people are being neglected in society. As a result, the Poverty level in the world is increasing making another issue to find a solution. This essay is discussing the major causes of poverty and its impact on the societal ground following the solution for it.

Some of the major concerns over such a financial gap are social inequality, imbalance, and financial deficit between the countries. The concentrated resources at one class of the people create a situation where people of the other class get more dependant on the people on the wealthier side. For instance, Jack a famous industrialist of Bangladesh has half of the net worth of country and owns almost all the industries in his country, People of the nation and government itself dependant on him for their progress and day to day lives. Wealthier people not always look forward to bring up the financial status of the people As they only focus on the profit they want from their business. Such an attitude leads poor people to opt for the necessary education, facilities, and living standards. Profit oriented businesses fetch more and more money from poor families making them unable to fulfill their daily needs.

To avoid such a situation, The government can take control over the issue by creating robust policies that will favor the financial and social upliftment of poor families. Government policies must promote educational and work policies where some seats will be reserved for people from a poor background. Secondly, Rules can be tightened to maintain a stipulated level of wages for every role. Lastly, The government must set a tax system as per the income people are earning. Even more, the Government should promote the industrialist of nations to invest in businesses where every other person will get employed.

To conclude, World must take this issue on a serious note, As increasing poverty always create tensions between the two classes and damage the structural integrity of society. Poverty has to be brought down by promoting education, jobs and fair wages to the people.
